It is extremely sad to see the deterioting values of the citizens of Mumbai. Whether they be the common man, the Business man, the administrator or the politician. They all sing the same tune - "Let the city go to Hell as long as we flourish". Little do they know or even realise that they are sowing the seeds of an violent and uncultured generation that lies ahead of them. An generation that would know no Sanity or respect towards elders or even to the Administrators who would be left grasping for breath as each one tries to compete with the other.
This may be true to other cities as well but I am concerned about Mumbai as I live here and am experiencing the cancer of corruption and arrogance galloping at breathtaking speeds. I guess leading to an eventual and untimely death.
Who is to blame for the downfall? I guess we are all responsible in same way or form and prefer to play a game of Russian Roulette not knowing that some day our luck would too run out.
But even after knowing the known we trod along at our own pace feeling that we are more honest than the rest and just sitback and enjoy our life expecting that some adminstrator who is somewhere out there is doing his job to make sure that the life of our future generations including ours is made worthwhile, but contrary to this feeling, he is actually pitching in to dig a grave for all of us including his own. Does anyone care! I doubt.
In actuality Mumbai does not have a definite shape or structure, It is shapeless, spineless and boneless.It is a Paramecium. Just a blob on the map of this earth devout of feelings and culture.
It is just a place where people reside trying to outbeat the other in monetary and power terms but not with goodness and culture.The stink of illicit money is far greater than the filth and the garbage which is generated by the second and is virtually piling up in every household and is never ever cleared or evacuated.
Our hearts go out to the very few who suffocate in this ostentious stench but are unable to speak out as thier faces are stifled with whatever means on hand.
It is high time that this cancer needs to be stopped and something needs to be done to stop it.
We can only pray and hope that good sense prevails in the diseased and courage and leadership in the stifled.
Please make mumbai clean and beautiful not by removing the Garbages around your homes or areas but from within your minds and the minds of all who are polluting our very lives and the lives of generations to come.
